GRAPPO AND BELLINI

Grappo, aka Ray Grappone, Musician, producer and avid record collector creates art from what he loves. The first of his series, “Broken Records”, are completed as collage and mixed media creations made from vintage 78 LPs. Some from the artist' personal collection, some from artists who are associated with Grappo. The records used to create Grappos' insightful individual artworks have been accidentally broken. He proves vinyl lives always through his work.

Grappo is Ray Grappone, a very emotive percussionist and drummer for the Alexis P Suter band and many other musical endeavors. Bellini, Vicki Bell is a singer and songwriter with the band as well as a former Broadway dancer. Together they own Hipbone Records and are both distinguished and talented music producers. These works speak of movement and a great deal of creative design. There is a bigger message too if you care to dig deep... Some of the work are available in posters or on canvas. The original will be saved for gallery showings and special shows. - Kim Derr
